Vivian Rita Crowe, 73, of Brazil died at 10:47 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, in Holly Hill Healthcare in Brazil.

Born in Indianapolis on Jan. 18, 1931, she was the daughter of Herbert Taylor and stepmother, Buelah.

She married Arvest J. Crowe on Oct. 12, 1949. He is deceased.

She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis in 1949 and was later employed by L. S. Ayers in Indianapolis as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and crocheting.

Survivors include four sons, Mike and wife, Nancy, of Brazil, Gary and wife, Tamala, of Indianapolis, Richard of Brazil and William David and wife, Kim, of Indianapolis; a brother, Clarence "Jitter" Taylor, of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Christie, Melisa, Amy, Mary, Joey and Chad; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Zachary, Payton, Nathan, Eli and Kayla; three sisters-in-law, Vada and husband, George Randolph ,of Fort. Myers, Fla., Shirley and husband, Mervin Brown, of Hawsville, Ky. and Dorothy and husband, Edward Gilliam, of Hawsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at French Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery.
