Emma L. Hampton, 83, of Greencastle, formerly of Stilesville, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004.

Born in Hazelwood, Ind., on Oct. 25, 1921, she was the daughter of Emory and Myrle Truax Milton. She married Leon "Jack" Hampton who died Dec. 3, 1996.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed working with crafts, and retired from Public Service Indiana where she had worked in Archives. She was a member of the Stilesville Christian Church where she was a member of the Social Helpers.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen Hampton and wife, Linda, of Monrovia and David Hampton and wife, Sandra, of Brazil; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville. Burial was in Stilesville Cemetery.
