Rosella "Mildred" Wright, 83, formerly of Brazil, died at 3:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at Greenwood Health and Living Center in Greenwood, Ind.
The daughter of John and Anna Meyers Korten and the wife of the late James Brenton Wright, she was born Feb. 27, 1921, at Reno, Ind.
She worked as a housekeeper at the Clay County Health Center until retiring in the early 1990s.
Survivors include two sons, Howard and wife Arlene Wright of Florida and Lester and wife Dorothy Wright of Greenwood; two daughters, Carolyn and husband William Wheeler of Indianapolis and Becky and husband Ralph Spencer of Greencastle; two stepdaughters, Grace Sanders of Carbon and Eithel Sanders of Knightsville; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Arethella Otter; two stepsons, Chris Wright and Arley Wright; two stepdaughters, Lola Clark and Lorene Rogers; several stepsiblings; a grandson; and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Pastor George Hewitt officiating. Burial will be in Bee Ridge Cemetery.
