Sheri L. Leslie, 44, of Terre Haute, formerly of Seelyville, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at her residence after fighting multiple sclerosis for many years.

She had been a beautician and a homemaker.

Born June 20, 1960, in Vermillion County, she was the daughter of Robert Benson and Linda Chopson Benson.

Survivors include her husband, Robert D. Leslie; her parents, who now live in Seelyville; a son, Broc A. Leslie and his fiancee, Rachel Utt, of Terre Haute; a daughter and her husband, Cari N. and Don Oakes, of Terre Haute; a twin sister, Terri Hoffman of Staunton; a sister, Kimmala Sanders of Brazil; a brother, Rocky Benson, of Seelyville; a granddaughter, Haley Rae Oakes; and many members of her extended family.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Benson.

She was a member of Brazil Moose Lodge No. 780 and Terre Haute Eagles Lodge.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Callahan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., with the Rev. Rick Swan officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
