Harold Tener, 88 formerly of Brazil, died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at Mariner Health in McKinney, Texas.

Born Aug.19, 1916, in Kansas City, Mo., he was the son of John and Estella Riggs Tener.

He entered military service with the U.S. Navy in March of 1942 and served as a Navy See Bee in the South Pacific. He received his Honorable Discharge in November of 1945.

He married Irene Nolte who preceded him in death Dec. 19, 1994. Harold was an X-Ray Technician and worked at Clay County Hospital for 32 years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Irene.

He is survived by one son, Tom Tener and wife, Mary Rose, of Newburg, Ind.; five daughters, Rita Anderson and husband Ernie of Crawfordsville, Ind., Linda Armstrong and husband Tim of McKinney, Texas, Cindy Thomas, Deborah Tener of Indianapolis, and Betsy Jerome and husband Karl of Terre Haute; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday with Ernie Anderson officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
