Nancy Louise Mewhinney, 63, of Brazil died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at 9:30 p.m. in her home in Jackson Gardens.
Born May 7, 1941, in Attica, Ind., she was the daughter of John and Anna Lucille Sanders Smith Collins. She married Willard P. Mewhinney, who preceded her in death.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting and being outdoors.
Survivors include three daughters, Anna and husband, James Fleschner, of Arlington, Texas, Connie Fry of Terre Haute and Naomi Mewhinney and fiancee, Mark of Burnett; two sons, Kenneth D. and wife, Tonya Corona of Brazil and Willard P. Mewhinney Jr. and fiancee, Gina, of Brazil; 13 siblings, Mary Griffin, Fred Collins, Ralph Collins, Paul Collins, Stanley Collins, Louis Cunningham, Ernie Smith, Dewayne Collins, Dean Collins, Otto Collins, Jeanette Collins, Carol Collins and Carla Collins; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and four siblings, James. F. Collins, Beth A. Collins, Robert Smith in infancy and Naomi Collins, also in infancy.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in French Funeral Home with Brother Doug Parkey officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
