Darrell Wayne Grayless, 64, of Brazil died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at 1 p.m. in his mother's home.
Born April 15, 1940, in Brazil. he was the son of Gilbert Grayless and Elizabeth Hope Kidwell Grayless.
He worked as a laborer at Arketex and Great Dane. He had served in the Navy.
He attended Bee Ridge Christian Church and enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and being outdoors. He also followed NASCAR racing.
Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Grayless York; six children, Sidney G. Grayless and wife, Ruthann, of Terre Haute, Darrell W. Grayless II and wife, Leslie, of Brazil, Crystal L. Ropp and husband, Larry, of Maryville, Ohio, Darlene K. Collins and husband, Mark, of Tampa, Fla., and Melissa L. Alexander of Brazil; a brother, William "Bill" Grayless and wife, Carolyn, of Riverview, Fla., 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Paul, Betty, Casey, Nick, Dustin, Michelle, Danny, Payton and Dylan; five great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father; two children, Darrell W. Grayless Jr. and Rebecca A. Grayless.
Services will be held Friday at noon at French Funeral Home with Pastors Phoebe Kidwell and Dale Dickison officiating. Burial will follow in Bee Ridge Cemetery.
Visitiation will be Friday, one hour prior to services .
