Ruth M. Long, 92, of Terre Haute died at 8:20 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at Union Hospital.
Born April 19, 1912, in Muncie, Ind., she was the daughter of Henry C. Stoneburner and Nancy Jane Rupard Stoneburner.
Her husband, Harry F. Long, died May 13, 1965. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Martha Frederick and Ruth Johnson; six brothers; and six sisters.
She was a homemaker and member of VFW Post No. 972 Auxiliary.
Survivors include five sons, Harry Long, Tarpon Springs, Fla., Wayne Long and wife, Lil, of New Port Richey, Fla., Lawrence Long and wife, Lucy, of Seelyville, Leon Long and wife, Vickie, of Brazil and Danny Long and wife, Robin, of Terre Haute; two daughters, Maxine and husband, Freddie Sutton, and Betty and husband, Jack Wilson, all of Terre Haute; 29 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Callahan Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Roeschlein officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with pallbearers Mike Long, Bob Long, Mark Long, Harold Long, Ryan Watts and Jackie Wilson.
