Joshua B. Leonard, 26, of Indianapolis died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, in his residence.

Born Jan. 17, 1979, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Donald E. and Sally J. (Williams) Leonard.

He was a graduate of South Putnam High School Class of 1997 and attended Indiana State University, holding various offices as well as serving as president of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was an accomplished pianist and composer.

He had worked in insurance and retail sales.

Memberships include the Big Walnut Baptist Church at Reelsville.

Survivors include his mother, Sally J. Leonard, of Brazil; his father, Donald E. Leonard, of Reelsville; a sister, Rachel Leonard Long and husband, Jason, of Greenwood, Ind.; a niece and nephew, Grace and Gabe Long of Greenwood; two aunts, JoAnn Vanoy (Rollin) and Ruth Leonard; and an uncle, Phil Leonard.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with the Rev. Brent Meyers officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Harmony.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 4-8 p.m. Friday.
