Peggy A. Britton, 71, of Brazil, died Feb. 23, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. at Cloverleaf Healthcare of Alzheimer's. She was born on Jan. 10, 1934 to Bert and Edith Morlan. She graduated from Brazil High School in 1952 and was a member of Berea Christian Church. She was a homemaker and teaching assistant at East Side Elementary School.

Survivors include her husband Robert H. Britton, who she married May 31, 1952 at the First Christian Church in Oceanside, Calif.: two children, Michael R. Britton of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Debra A. Harrah and her husband Jerry of Brazil; six grandchildren, Jaime, Kari, Kelly and Aaron Britton of West Chester, Ohio, Breanna Seeley of New Goshen, Megan Harrah of Terre Haute; three great-grandchildren, Trista Anders and Dustin Lalen of New Goshen, and Brady Blankenship of Terre Haute; one brother, Don Morlan and his wife Sue of St. Germain, Wis. and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be Monday, at 11 a.m. in Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil, with Pastor Tom Hess officiating. Burial at Summit Lawn Cemetery on South Waterworks Rd., Brazil. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
