Jerald E. Floyd Sr., 64, of Brazil died unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005, at his residence.

Born Sept. 22, 1940, in Brazil, he was the son of Arthur and Aldabelle Poor Floyd.

He graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1958, and worked with his father and owned and operated Floyd's Body Shop all of his working years.

He was a member of Rock Run Church.

He was a collector of many things. He enjoyed spending time with his son, grandchildren and friends.

Survivors include his son Jerry and daughter-in-law, Tracie Floyd of Center Point; five grandchildren, Jessica, Jerica, Jacob, Grace and Emilie Floyd; a brother, Donald Floyd and wife, Sue, of Bunker Hill, Ind.; two sisters, Sue Manion of Brazil, Bonnie Setien of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Jean Floyd; and a brother-in-law, Charles Manion.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in French Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Roeschlein officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Walker, Eddie Dickison, Tim Dickison, Delbert Ridener, Kenny Wey, Butch Yockey and Wayne Pittsenbarger.
