Sylvia Irene Anstead, 87, of Charleston, S.C., and formerly of Brazil, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, in Charleston.
Born Aug. 28, 1917, in Clay County, she was the daughter of Nathan Harden and Margaret Comer Harden.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gerald Anstead and two daughters, Edith Lou Anstead and Beverly Duncan.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathlyene and Terry Elwell of Charleston, Shirley and John Cosner of Indianapolis and Cillicia and Mike Frazier of Farmland, Ind.; two sons, Kenneth and Judith Anstead of Brazil and Lee and Stacy Anstead of Terre Haute; a sister, Doris Burns of Terre Haute; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Walnut Grove Chapel, Clinton, Ind., with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
