Elleen Parks, 89, of St. Charles, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, in St. Joseph Health Center, St. Charles, Mo.

Born Jan. 17, 1916, in Prairietown, Ind., she was the daughter of Ralph D. Whitaker and Edna Whitaker. She was married to Frank E. Parks. All three are deceased. She had attended Indiana State University.

She had been a J.C. Penney sales associate in Terre Haute for 15 years.

Memberships included being a Past Matron of Eastern Star Chapter 43, Terre Haute and Past President of Women's Chapter of Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen & Enginemen.

Survivors include two sons, Gene and wife, Linda Parks, of Monrovia, Ind., and Ron Parks of St. Charles, Mo.; two daughters, Carole and husband, John Everly, of St. Charles and Kale and husband, Jeff Blackburn Dalton, of Brazil; four granddaughters, Kim and husband, Doug Boetjer, Ceanne and husband, Chris Gibbons, Kari Everly and Craig Estes and Brandie Parks; two grandsons, Brent Parks and David Parks; three great-grandsons, Coledon Boetjer, Matthew Gibbons and Nicholas Gibbons; and two great-granddaughters, Oceala Boetjer and Brook Boetjer.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Greg Blackburn Sr.; five brothers; a sister; and a grandson, Greg Blackburn Jr.
