Claude William Walker, 78, of Brazil, died at 9:03 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville.
He was born Oct. 26, 1926, near Lena, Ind., in Parke County. He was the son of Claude and Lillie Mae Martin Walker who have both preceded him in death.
He attended Van Buren High School. He married Patricia Deane Britton on Sept. 19, 1948. He was employed for 14 years at the Arketex plant and 28 years at Alcan Rolled Products.
He was an active member of the First Christian Church of Brazil. He enjoyed traveling, fishing with his grandchildren and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Cora Wyndham, Lola Nesty and Vallie Pittman; and one brother, Sanford Walker.
He is survived by his wife Pat Walker; two sons, Steve Walker of Indianapolis and Randy Walker and his wife Christel of Terre Haute; three sisters, Sarah Webster of Florida, Jean Irwin and husband John of Knightsville and Jayne Bagal and husband Sy of Punta Gorda, Fla.; and one brother, Glenn Walker and his wife Marie of Terre Haute. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Rachell Winn and husband Jim of Terre Haute, Shane Walker of Terre Haute, Ryan, Dustin and Chad Walker all of Carmel, Ind., and Andrew Walker of Indianapolis; one great grandson, Drake Winn and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday with Pastor Greg Comp officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
