Josephine L. Hughes, 91, of Franklin, Ind., formerly of Poland, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, in the Indiana Masonic Home at Franklin.

Born Jan. 25, 1914, in Fairmont, Ind., she was the daughter of James Pet Davis and Nora (Likens) Davis.

She had been married to Russell V. Rich and Clifford A. Hughes; both husbands are deceased.

She had been a nurse's aide at Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle.

Memberships included Jordan Village Presbyterian Church, Jordan Village, Ind., Order of Eastern Star No. 204, Bowling Green and American Legion Auxiliary Post 58, Greencastle.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Bartrum of Greencastle and a son, Jim Rich and his wife, Wilma, of Poland.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; and a stepson, Richard N. Hughes.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with the Rev. Myron Welty officiating. Burial will be in Poland Chapel Cemetery, Poland.

Visitation will be be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
