Carl R. Orman, 66, of Marion Ind., formerly of Clay County, died at 3:29 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005, in Highland Regional Medical Center, Sebring, Fla.

Born in Clay County, he was the son of Willie and Dorothy (Stigler) Orman. His mother is deceased.

He was a life resident of Jonesboro and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He married Barbara Post and she survives.

He worked in inspection at Chrysler in Kokomo, retiring in 1997.

He attended Grace Community Church in Marion and the Church of the Brethren in Sebring.

He loved motorcycling and golf. He was a member of the Twin City Cloggers and loved square dancing. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren and participating in sporting events.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Connie and Gary Tyler of Marion, Ind., and Carla and Carl Ehrhart of Converse, Ind.; his father; two brothers, Clifford and Becky Orman and Robert and Sharon Orman, all of Brazil; a sister, Edith and Tom Stevens of Brazil; and grandchildren, Devin and Dustin Tyler and Cayla and Cassandra Ehrhart.
