Dan R. Targett, 52, of Brazil died unexpectedly Thursday, March 17, 2005.
Born April 30, 1952, in Brazil, he was the son of Robert L. Targett and Marjorie Wallace Targett. On June 8, 1973, he married Kathy Ann Cass. She survives.
He graduated from Van Buren High School, Class of 1970, and worked at CBS in Terre Haute for 12 years. He worked for 20 years in the maintenance department of Great Dane.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dan Eric and wife, Mandy, and Robert Lee and his girlfriend, Johnna; a daughter, Holly Ann Targett and boyfriend, David Pruitt; three grandchildren, Amber Dawn White, Ethan Eric Targett and Chelsie Archer; his parents; a brother, Richard Targett and wife, Alice; a sister, Kathy Targett and fiance, Steve Burrows, all of Brazil; his mother-in-law, Patricia Cass of Terre Haute; nieces, Joy Fredrick and Kate Targett; and a great-nephew, Collier.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, James R. Cass; and his great-grandfather, Elisha Bridgewaters.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in French Funeral Home with the Rev. Brett Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Summit Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until services.
