Norma Jean McGowen of Bradenton, Fla., died Friday, March 18, 2005, at her residence.
Born in Brazil, she moved to Manatee County, Fla., in 1973.
She worked in the Anna Maria Elementary cafeteria, retiring in 1988.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Ollie; her mother, Isabelle C. Wesche; a brother, Donald Boyd; and sisters, Rachel Quigley and Maxine Harvey.
Survivors include her husband, James R. McGowen Jr.; two daughters, Sandra G. Romas of Center Point and Dina J. McGowen of Bradenton; a son, James R. McGowen III of Brandenton; a brother, James C. Ollie of Merrillville, Ind.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Toale Brothers Bradenton Chapel with Pastor Don Fulmer officiating. Burial will be in Manasota Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
