Ted Naanes, 70, of Worthington died Tuesday, March 22, 2005, in Greene County General Hospital.
Born Nov. 18, 1934, in Spencer, he was the son of Guy Hugh and Ruby (Michael) Naanes. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1951.
He married Viann Schmaltz.
Memberships included Friendly Open Bible Church in Clay City. He was a Sunday School teacher.
He had been an excavator and worked for Winders Quarry and Harry C. Miller.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Brian Veatman of Spencer, Brenda and Bryon Haulk of Spencer and Teresa Evans of Brazil; two stepdaughters, Shannon and Tom Vincent of Bloomington and Susan and Chad Otto of Bloomington; two sons, Philip Naanes of Bridgeton and Andy and Lori Naanes of Gosport; a stepson, Duane Williams of Indianapolis; three sisters, Barbara Hofer of Florida, Jennie and Edward Hofer of Brazil and Glenda Robinson of Martinsville; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 6, 2005, his parents and a daughter, Leannetta Naanes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer with Brother Larry Corns and James McMahon officiating. Burial will be in Hudson Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday.
