Thomas C. Johnson, 75 of Brazil died unexpectedly March 24, 2005, at 8:06 p.m. at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. He was born May 1, 1929, in Toronto, Canada, the son of Clarence and Audrey Musgrove Johnson. He was raised in the Chicago area and graduated from Morgan Park High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. Nov. 11, 1961, he married Barbara Ann Harris Johnson, she survives. He worked for Sears as a service technician in the Chicago area before moving here in 1994. After moving here, he worked at Kroger, became a member of the Community Missionary Church and was a devoted follower of the Northview Band and Guard. He enjoyed helping with the "pit crew" of the band until health issues became a problem.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; two sons David Michael Johnson of Brazil and Edward Mark Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD.; one daughter Lynda Sue Cox and husband Ken of Brazil; two grandchildren, Jason Schuetz and Justine Schuetz.

Services will be held Monday at 4 p.m.in French Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Brown officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to the American Cancer Society.
