Helen I. Thompson, 91, of Brazil, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Clay Health Center in Brazil.
She was born July 25, 1913 in Clay County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Charles and Ella Dalton Harris. She attended North Mine Grade School and Van Buren High School. She was a member of Lena Church of Christ. She married Max Thompson Nov. 13, 1930.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 28, 1997; son Charles Thompson and one daughter, Patricia Kay Thompson; three sisters, Katherine Wilson, Anna Wilson and Lucille Norman; one brother, Ross Mullenix; and one granddaughter, Erin Thompson.
She is survived by one daughter, Joy and husband Elmer Trout of Brazil; three sons, A.J. Thompson and wife Candy of Reelsville, Jim Thompson of Brazil and Randy Lee and wife Margaret Thompson of Brazil; two sisters, Helen Ames and Winifred Allen, both of Brazil; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. with Pastor Rick Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
