Walter Arthur Scott, 75, of Terre Haute died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2005, in Regional Hospital.
Born July 19, 1929, in Clay City, he was the son of Benjamin Franklin Scott and Olive Ivy Edmondson Scott.
He was married July 26, 1975, to Wandy Denney, who survives.
He retired as a semi driver belonging to the Teamsters Union.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and Korea and was a life member of the VFW, where he also served as an officer. He also belonged to Wayne Newton American Legion Post No. 348 and was an officer in the Terre Haute Moose Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bryant Marshall Scott and Todd Eric Scott; a sister, Irene Olive Stewart; two grandchildren, Austin Scott and Hunter Scott; and other family members.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Scott and Bob Scott.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with Keith Gaddis officiating and burial in Durham Cemetery. The Brazil VFW Post will have military graveside rites.
Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to his wife to help defray the funeral and burial expenses.
