Jessie Elizabeth Baysinger, 74 of Brazil, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005, at her residence in Brazil.

Born Oct. 1, 1930, in Clay County, she was the daughter of James B. and Gladys Robison Sanders.

She graduated from Brazil High School in 1948. She married Bert L. Baysinger Jr. on Dec. 17, 1950, at Bee Ridge Church in Brazil.

She was a homemaker, Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher and member of her church choir. She was a member of the El Shaddai Emmaus Community (Walk No. 89) and the Carbon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Timothy L. Baysinger; three sisters, Hazel, Bonnie and Olive Sanders; one brother, James H. Sanders and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Sanders.

She is survived by her husband Bert; one daughter, Karen E., and husband, John R. Cox, of Brazil; two sons, Randy L. Baysinger, of Brazil and Douglas L and wife, Diana Baysinger, of Brazil; grandchildren, Sara (Cox) and Mark Schultz of Brazil, Aaron Cox of Indianapolis, Adam Cox of Terre Haute, Lynnlee Baysinger of Brazil and Danielle Baysinger of Brazil; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Andrew Schultz of Brazil; four brothers, Thomas Sanders of South Bend, Sanford Sanders of Brazil, William Sanders of Brazil and Kenneth and wife Sharon Sanders of Brazil; brother and sisters-in-law, Wesley and Lois Baysinger, Gene and Delores Mathews and Charles Baysinger and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 -- 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Howard Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
