Doris Jean Swearingen, 80, of Paducah, Ky. and formerly of Brazil, died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday at Superior Care Home.

She was the daughter of James and Margaret Elizabeth Campbell Jacobson and was a native of Sioux Falls, S.D. She married Archie R. Swearingen, a Brazil native, and the pair, married for 60 years, resided locally for approximately 10 years.

She was a homemaker and member of Lone Oak United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Janice Kern of Butzville, N.J., and Diane Potts of Paducah; two sons, Donald Swearingen of Paducah and Jim Swearingen of Lakeland, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
