In his lifetime, he also was a mechanic. He had three garages in Clay County all called "B-Line Garage". Later in life, he began working on lawn mowing equipment from his home. He enjoyed helping people and had performed over a thousand weddings and funerals.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Fred and Linda Bolinger of Greencastle; 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters in law, Faye Bolinger and Mildred Bolinger; many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife R. Bernice Stevens Bolinger; 3 brothers; one son John Bolinger; one daughter Dorothy Trester; and 2 granddaughters.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m at French Funeral Home with Brother Doug Parkey officiating. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10-2. Light a candle in his memory at www.frenchfuneralhome.com
