William (Bill) Frank Stilz, 82, Reelsville, Indiana, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at the Heart Center of Indiana, Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born May 4, 1923, in Bridgeport, Indiana the son of William Frank Stilz and Daphne (McClure) Stilz. He married Evelyn (Craft) Stilz on June 25, 1949, who survives.
He was an electronic engineer for General Motors Allison Division in Indianapolis, IN. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, was a member of Big Walnut Baptist Church, Reelsville, IN; long standing member of the Plainfield Christian Church, 1949 graduate of Purdue University and a charter member and past president of the Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department.
Other survivors include a daughter, Julia Kellum and husband Chuck, Anderson, IN: a son, John Stilz, Indianapolis, IN: and 3 grandchildren, Nikki Worsham; Zac Worsham and Ben Kellum.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Frank Stilz - 1930; his mother, Daphne Stilz - February 20, 1991; and a son, James Stilz.
Services wil be conducted Thursday, May 19, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. at Big Walnut Baptist Church in Reelsville, IN, with Pastor Mike Goss officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2005 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale. Burial wil be in the Poland Chapel Cemetery, Poland, IN.
