Bessie Nasiopulos Pappas, 82, of Brazil died at 12:37 p.m. May 17, 2005, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
She was born in Chicago Illinois, September 6, 1922 to James and Martha Angelopolos Nasiopoulos. She married Gus Michael Pappas November 14, 1948, he preceded her in death. She worked for Nu-Art Card Company as a data processor. She was a member of St. George Orthodox Church in Terre Haute. She owned and operated Pappas Amusements in Chicago. She was also a member of St. George Ladies Society and Ladies Auxiliary of the showmen's League of America.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include a daughter Michelle Netzler and husband Harold of Brazil and Rockville, one brother Chris Nash of Misouri, four sisters-in-law; Sophia Stefanos of Illinois, Mary Pappas of Illinois, Ann Nasiopulos of Wisconsin and Katherine Pappas of Illinois, one grandson Dean Alan Netzler of Brazil and Rockville as well as many nieces, nephews, godchildren and a large extended family.
Visitation will be Thursday at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil, Indiana from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. with the Trisagion Prayer at 6:00 p.m. Services will be Friday in Chicago, Illinois at Blake-Lamb-Becuar Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen Park, Illinois.
