Frances A. Davis, 90, of Montvale Estates, Springfield, IL, died at 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2005, in Springfield, IL, where she resided most of her life.
She was born July 18, 1914, in Center Point, IN, the daughter of Adam and Ethel Brown Hart. She married Marion Rocky Davis on February 11, 1939, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jeannette Froschauer.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, ANSARETTES, Daughters of the Nile, past member of Eastern Star, Survivors Group at First United Methodist Church and the Fiat Allis Retirees Club.
She was employed by Caterpiller during WWII. Later she worked at International Shoe Factory, then Fiat Allis retiring in 1979.
Survivors include a companion, Russel Terry, of Springfield, IL; a son-in-law, Eugene Froschauer, of Springfield, IL; two grandchildren, Stacy Froschauer of Springfield, IL and Trevor Froschauer and wife, Jacqueline, of Naperville, IL; a great grandchild, Vanessa Froschauer, one brother, Arthur Hart, of Center Point, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 , with visitation at 10:00-11:00 Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at the Staab Funeral Home in Springfield, IL. Dr. Roger Rominger will officiate and burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made at the First United Methodist Church or Shriners in Springfield, IL.
