Frank E. Minnick Sr., 82, of Brazil died at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, May 22, 2005, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. He was born in Brazil, April 1, 1923, to Luther and Nellie Crabb Minnick. July 29, 2004, he married Betty Grigsby Minnick. He served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worked at Arketex Ceramics as a kiln setter and at Greencastle Manufacturing as a press operator retiring in 1973. He enjoyed fishing, word searches, going to yard sales, cooking, watching old western movies, game shows, and soap operas, Wheel of Fortune and Guiding Light being his favorites.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Frank Jr. and wife Linda Minnick, of Brownsburg, IN, and William and wife, Sarah Minnick, of Summerville, South Carolina; two daughters Hazel Gwinn and husband Michael of Spencer, IN, and Emily and husband, Jim Seyferts, of Munice, IN; two stepsons, Harry Grigsby and wife, Penny, of Brazil and Michael Grigsby of Montezuma, IN; one sister, Lucille Telgemeyer, of Brazil; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 siblings.

Graveside services will be at Bee Ridge Cemetery Friday, May 27, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. At his request cremation will be performed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the VFW Post 1127 and American Legion Post 2. Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil, assisted with arrangements.
