Hazel May Murphy Crabb, 87, of Saline City, IN, died at 10:15 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2005 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born July 3, 1917 in Saline City.
She was a 1935 graduate of Ashboro High School. She married Charles Crabb January 25, 1938, he preceded her in death. She attended the Saline City Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and in her younger years she was a member of the Cory Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her father, husband, and a son Rickey J. Crabb.
Survivors include a son Charles Crabb and wife Jacqueline of Clay City, IN, a daughter Cheryl Fletcher and husband Prescott of Oak Forest ILL.; a brother Norman Murphy and wife Yvonne of Napanee, IN; a sister Wanda Batchelor of Brazil; 7 grandchildren: Teresa Benales and husband Gustavo of Garland TX., Lisa Duffer and husband Jeff of Terre Haute, Blane Crabb and wife Suzanne of Clay City, Alli Crabb of Clay City, Christopher Fletcher of Oak Forest, Ill., Rhianna Crabb of Indianapolis, and Hanna Crabb of Terre Haute; and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City with Pastor Chester Haypenny officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City.
