Manetta F. Oberholtzer, 86, of Center Point, passed away June 14, 2005, at 7:30 a.m. at Union Hospital. She was born December 26, 1918, in Bowling Green, the daughter of James and Ethel Paulk Hicks. She graduated from Spurgeon High School, the Class of 1937. She married Argel W. Oberholtzer December 7, 1940. She was a partner with her husband in their family farm. She attended the Cory Zion Church. She enjoyed her artwork in creating painted china pieces and she was a member of the China Painters Club.

She is survived by her grandchilden, Daniella Hughes, Eric Von Oberholtzer and Heather D. Hardman; two daughters in law, Pam Oberholtzer and Cindi Porter; three great-grandchildren, Micheala R. Oberholtzer, Nicholas J. Oberholtzer and Brandon Z. Hughes; one sister, Meneva Hawkins of Evansville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Argel Oberholtzer; her two sons, James L. Obeholtzer and Jack L. Oberholtzer; and one grandson, Benjamin Scott Oberholtzer.

Services will be held Friday at 1:30 at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Caskey officiating. Burial will follow at Swalley Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and again Friday prior to services. Pallbearers will include, Eric Von Oberholtzer, Casey Hardman, Tim Persinger, Andy Persinger, Ryan Persinger and Calvin Curtis.
