Margaret "Maggie" Lewis, 83, of Brazil passed away June 17, 2005, at 5:10 p.m. at Holly Hills Healthcare Facility.

She was born April 10, 1922, in Brazil, the daughter of Clyde and Bessie Turner Lamb. July 27, 1941, she married Altha W. Lewis, he survives. She was a devoted wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Jackson St. Wesleyan Church in Brazil. She enjoyed traveling, playing Bunco, and performing with the Senior Citizen Kitchen Band.

She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Char Lewis of Crown Point, IN; her daughter Marcia Fielding of Bridgeport, IL; one brother, William Lamb and his wife, Ruth of Terre Haute; two sisters, Helen Weaver and husband Don of Indianapolis, and Virginia Schultz and husband Ed of Brazil; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Shelia Lewis McHenry and one brother Robert Lamb.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Rev. Estel Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and again Tuesday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p. m. Light a candle in her memory at www.frenchfuneralhome.com
