Monday, June 27, 2005

She was a stay at home mother. During Chrissy's short time with us she achieved so much. While her accomplishments as a mother are what she would want to be most remembered for, those who knew and loved her know that she did achieve so much more.

During her younger years she did theatrical dancing from the ages 3-14. This may have helped her excel during the four years of high school when she consistently ran at the varsity level in cross-country and track. She was also involved in various extra-curricular activities, such as: Northview High School Excaliburs, Drama Club, French Club, Northview TV, Sunshine Society, Girls' Varisty Club, Yearbook and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She was named a homecoming queen's attendant two years in a row. She excelled in both DECA and BPA, taking her BPA accomplishments to the national level, competing in Anaheim, CA.

After high school graduation in 2001, she went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Shawn, started a family, taught Sunday School, and attended two years of college majoring in business. Although Chrissy's life was drastically cut short, her primary goal in life was to continue raising her famaily in a Christian environment.

She was born February 2, 1983 in Terre hatue to Bill Masaeh and Lori Rogers Masaeh.

She is survived by her husband, Shawn Michael Nicosin; a daughter, Grace Marie Nicosin; her parents; one brother, Bill Mesaeh, Jr. and his wife, Hannah, Monterey, CA; a special brother, Eric Whitesell; paternal grandfather, Mike Mesaeh and his wife Lois, Clinton, IN; paternal grandmother, Velma Mesaeh, Terre Haute, IN; and numerous aunts and uncles. She and her husband were preceded in death by a premature infant. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Jane Rogers.

She was a member of New Hope Community Church and a 2001 graduate of Northview High School.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Callahan Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Avenue with her brother Bill Mesaeh officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers, her husband has requested that if friends so desire, contributions may be sent to an account established for her daughter, Grace Marie, at First Financial Bank.
