James Joshua Ferry, 67, of Brazil, died at his residence at 6:03 a.m. June 27, 2005, following an extended illness.

He was born December 1, 1937, to Wilson J. and Vivian P. Ferry who preceded him in death. He attended Van Buren High School. February 20, 2005, he married Linda A. Myers who survives. He served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard and a Captain in the Army Reserves. During his working years he drove a truck for Schwarman Trucking. For a short period of time he also sold insurance for Western Southern Insurance Compamy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.

He is survived by his wife Linda of Brazil, a daughter Brenda Ferry of Terre Haute; a sister Harriet Parr; three brothers Clint Ferry, Gerald Ferry and Norman Ferry all of Brazil.

Services will be at French Funeral Home Saturday, July 2, 2005, at 1:00 with Rev. Dale Dickison officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the services. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle
