Kay Francis Kerr Starr, 70, of Brazil, went to be with the Lord Saturday at 7:05 p.m. July 23, 2005.

Born May 8, 1935 in English, W.V. She was the daughter of A. Gilbert Kerr and Grace B. Hull Kerr. She moved with her parents to Brazil, IN in 1950, where she graduated from Brazil High School in 1954.

She married Albert Eugene Starr Sr. on January 14, 1956. They settled in Dick Johnson Township where they raised their family She was a homemaker and an active member of her church Way of the Cross Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Dustin Michael Starr, two sisters, Marceline Kerr Porter, Gilda Kerr Childress Smith; five brothers, Elijah E. Kerr, Walter R. Kerr, Roger D. Kerr, Joe F. Kerr and David M. Kerr, three brothers-in-law, Clyde Porter, George Childress and Robert Smith; two sisters-in-law Margie Kerr and Beverly Kerr.

Survivors include her husband, two sons and two daughters-in-law, Albert Eugene Starr Jr. and wife Susan, Bryan David Starr and wife Kathy, two daughters and one son-in-law, Felicia Kay Starr and Catherine Grace Starr Dowers and husband Allen; six grandchildren, Brandy Lynn Starr McRoberts and husband Tim, Brittany LeAnn Starr, Justus Allen Michael Dowers, Lydia Abigale Grace Dowers, Kacy Cooksey and Sadie Decker; one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and John J. Jones, nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Way of the Cross Assembly of God with Rev. Jimmy C. Dowers officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church 11:00 a.m. Thursday till services.
