Joseph Wayne Boruff, 89 of Indianapolis, died August 6, 2005, at 3:40 a.m. at Methodist Hospital.

He was born October 12, 1915, in Greene County, the son of Elmer and Fannie Moss Boruff. He graduated from Jasonville High School. He began his career with Wilkinson Lumber Company as a young man while still in high school. He continued with the company throughout his working years. He moved to the Speedway area in Indianapolis in 1945 to advance within the lumber company. He served as manager with Wilkinson Lumber until his retirement.

July 3, 1945, he married Joanna Eccles, and she survives. He was a member of the Howesville Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking, going to sporting events, and music.

Also surviving are two brothers-in-law, Charles Eccles of Plainfield, IN, and Don Eccles of Jasonville, IN; one sister-in-law, Betty Rhoderick of Lawrence, IN; several nieces and nephews and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Virginia Norris.

Services wil be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, in Clay City, IN. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetrey. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
