William Stephen Van Sickle, 64, of Brazil, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at his home.

He was born May 13, 1941 in Clinton, Indiana, as the son of Ruth W. Van Sickle. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army from 1965 until 1970. He married Sherry Armstrong in Brazil on May 18, 1984.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth and his stepfather, Gerald Deacons.

He is survived by his wife Sherry, three daughters, Samantha Van Sickle of Brazil, Sharon LeMay of Pepperell, MA and Catherine Drescher of Ayer, MA; step daughter Eliza Kimmel of Johnston City, II; four grandsons, Michael LeMay of Pepperell, MA, Jacob Kimmel, Michael Kimmel and Bradley Kimmel all of Johnston IL; one granddaughter, Samantha LeMay of Pepperell, MA; two step sons, Anthony Smith and wife Robin and their son Taylor of Brazil and Robert Smith and his children Tiffany and James of Ridgeland, WI and close friends Paul and Donna Wells of Brazil.

Graveside funeral services with military honors by VFW Post 1127 and American Legion Post 2 will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Calcutta Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the cemetery at 12:30 p.m. and until time of service.
