William Stephen Van Sickle, 64 of Brazil, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2005, at his home.

He was born May 13, 1941, in Clinton, Indiana as the son of Ruth W. Van Sickle. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army from 1965 until 1970. He married Sherry Armstrong in Brazil on May 18, 1984.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth and his stepfather, Gerald Deacons.

He is survived by his wife Sherry, three daughters, Samantha VanSickle of Brazil, Sharon LeMay of Pepperell, MA and Catherine Drescher of Ayer, MA; step daughter Elisa Kimmel of Johnston City, Illinois; four grandsons, Michael LeMay of Pepperell, MA, Jacob Kimmel, Michael Kimmel and Bradley Kimmel all of Johnston, Illinois; one granddaughter, Samantha LeMay of Pepperell, MA; two stepsons, Anthony Smith and wife Robin and their daughter Peyton and son Taylor of Brazil and Robert Smith and his children Tiffany and James of Ridgeland, Wisconsin and close friends Paul and Donna Wells of Brazil.

Graveside funeral services with military honors by VFW Post 1127 and American Legion Post 2 will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Calcutta Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the cemetery at 12:30 p.m. and until time of service.
