Donald L. Hudson Sr., 84, of Greencastle and formerly of Brazil, passed away, Wednesday, August 24, 2005. at 5:03 p.m. in the Putnam County Hospital.
He was born February 3, 1921 in Mesita, CO, to Henry O. and Effie M. Muffley Hudson.
On March 8, 1943, he married Rosemary N. Haddan, she survives.
Mr. Hudson attended trade school in Kansas City, MO, to become a radio operator and practiced that trade in WWII for eight years with the civil air transport for Pan American. He then worked 37 years as a ticket agent for Trans World Airlines, retiring in 1983.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Hudson and a sister, Mary Collins.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary N. Hudson; a son, Donald L. Hudson Jr. and wife Cathy of Clinton, IN; two daughters, Patricia Hudson Stinson and husband Jimmie of Melrose, FL and Kathleen S. Hudson DeCamp of Brazil; two brothers, Elbert Hudson and wife Mary and Delbert Hudson; one sister, Beulah Welch all of Rock Port, MO; eleven grandchildren, Donna Stinson, James Stinson and wife Letha, Ira Stinson and wife Lynn, Karen Stinson Portwood and husband Sean, David Hudson and wife Cindy, Dean Hudson and wife Tisha, Daren Hudson, Charles Griffin, Matthew Griffin and wife Jami, Paul DeCamp and Rebecca DeCamp, twenty four great-grandchildren, a great great-grandson and many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
Services will be Monday, August 29, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. in the Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Avenue, Brazil. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2005, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and Monday prior to services in the funeral home.
