During her working years she resided in Terre Haute, and moved to Brazil following her retirement. She was a member of the Teamsters Local 144. She delighted in cooking for her family, and making candy, especially peanut brittle to give to others.

She is survived by her sister Florence Burns of Brazil; her devoted care-taker, nephew, Argyll Burns; nieces, Glenna Ogborn, Marcella Loveall, Gloria Penwell, Anita Ficklin, Doris York, Arlene Meyers, Alberta Anderson, and nephews, Virgil Muncie, and Robert Burns; several great and great-great nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Lawson-Miller Chapel with Pastor Tom Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her honor to the Berea Christian Church.
