She was born March 9, 1926, in Clay County, the daughter of Gordon Bennett and Marie Fox Bennett. She attended Brazil High School. She worked most of her working years as a nurse's aide. She worked at the Clay County Hospital, Cloverleaf and last worked at Clay Health Center. She also cared for people in their homes.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Don Wallen of Brazil; two grandsons, Joshua Foulke and Jeffrey Foulke of Brazil; one stepgranddaughter, LaCinda Taylor; one stepgreat-grandson, Dedadji Taylor; three sisters, Jane Jeffries and husband Ray, Doris Patrick and Shirley Sonnefield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter Janie Reese; one brother Bill Bennett and one sister Jean Hassler.
Services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at French Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Pippen officiating. At her request cremation will follow. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. Light a candle in her memory at www.frenchfuneralhome.com.
