Gertrude Routt, 91, Cloverdale, Ind., died Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at Cloverleaf Healthcare of Knightsville.

Born January 5, 1914, Clay County, Ind., she was the daughter of Walter H. Schopmeyer and Edith (Ahlemeyer) Schopmeyer. On June 15, 1932, she married Edward T. Routt and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1978. Also preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Mildred Williams and Thelma Louise Schopmeyer; brothers, Clayburn Harry Schopmeyer; Ernest Schopmeyer; Hubert Schopmeyer and Robert Willam Schopmeyer.

Surviving are two daughters, Geraldine Cundiff and husband Charles, Cloverdale, and Evelyn Rubeck and husband Ron, Poland; one son, Eddie Routt, Cloverdale; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and member of the Zion United Church of Christ, Poland; Tri-County Community Club and a former board member and secretary of the Cunot Senior Citizens.

Services will be conducted Saturday, September 17, 2005, at 1 p.m at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale with the Rev. Jennifer Dressler officiating. Visitation is Friday, September 16, 2005, from 4-8 p.m. at the furneral home. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Poland.
