Leonard Charles Steeb, age 66, of Brazil died Thursday afternoon, September 15, 2005, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

He was born May 11, 1939, in Indianapolis, the son of Frank and Ada Pringle Steeb. Following graduation from high school, he served in active duty with the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959 and then four years in the Army Reserve. He was employed for 30 years with the Citizens Coke and Gas Company in Indianapolis. He attended Indiana Bible College, which prepared him for his work as pastor of Fountain Square Baptist Church of Indianapolis and Trinity Baptist Church of Brazil.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Frieda Elliott and Mary Rowell and three brothers, Joe, Richard and Frank Steeb.

He is survived by one brother, Harold Steeb of Indianapolis, one daughter, Carol Steeb of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and one son, James Steeb of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Dr. Raymond McAlister officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
