She was born on December 14, 1922, in Williamsville, Ill., the daughter of Jewell C. and Flora Agnes (Allen) Trout. On April 15, 1945, she married Charles Perkins and he preceded her in death in January of 1999.
She had worked at the G.C. Murphy store in Greencastle, and had been a cook at the Greencastle Nuddke School for 25 years. She was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, John Perkins and wife, Paula of Seymour, Ind., and Arthur Perkins and wife, Linda of Aztec, N.M.; a sister Geneva Sipe of Fortville; four grandchidren; three great-grandchildren and two stepgreat- grandchildren.
Her parents, husband and brother Ross Trout preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Mr. Jim Amis officiating. Friends may call at the Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cenetery.
