Hazel M. Giltz, 93, of Brazil, died at 5:00 a.m. September 26, 2005, at Holly Hill Health Care and Rehabilitation Facility.

Born June 13, 1912, in Harmony, IN, she was the daughter of William Leslie and Cora Vesta Stewart Bell. She married Harvey Lester Giltz on February 17, 1940; he preceded her in death. She graduated from Indiana State Teachers College with a Masters in Education. She taught at several Clay County Schools such as Harmony, Van Buren, Staunton, Brazil Alabama Street and retired in 1974. Following retirement, Hazel ran a foot care service from her home from 1975 to 1996. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister Floris Salome.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, October 2, 2005, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2731 W. Highway 40 in Brazil at 4:30 p.m. Rick Herron will be officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 until time of services. Burial will be at Union Cemetery. It is requested that no flowers be sent and donations be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
