Cathy Amendola Ringo, 50 of Marietta, GA, passed away September 22, 2005.

She was born November 29, 1954, in Plainville, CT, the daughter of Madeline Amendola. She worked for Travelers Insurance and as a project manager for a worldwide civil construction company. She later obtained her real estate license and enjoyed working in real estate sales. She became an active member of the Canine Assistants Program and enjoyed helping with their programs.

She is survived by her husband Tim Ringo also of Marietta; her mother, Madaline of Plainville, CT; stepdaughters, Ashley Swearingen and her husband Danny of Terre Haute; and Erin Ringo of Bloomington; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Traci and Brad Miller of Brazil; three sisters, Kit Parke of Cromwell, CT; Karen Lamy of Thomaston, CT; and Beth Granger of Plainville, Ct; father-in-law, Jim Ringo and wife Donna of Terre Haute; and father in law, Jim Thompson of Brazil; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother in law, Barbara Ringo Thompson, July 11, 2005.

At her request, cremation took place with private family services to be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to Canine Asistants, Cathy Amendola Ringo Fund, and 3160 Francis Road, Alpharetta, GA 30005. Or to www.canineassistants.org.
