John A. Brown, 63, Rockville, IN. passed away Friday, September 30, 2005, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil, IN.

Born July 15, 1942, he was the son of Brookshire Brown and Cena Crowder Brown. He was a timber cutter and logger and attended a Baptist Church. On February 14, 1959, he was married to Kathy Hutson.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Brown; three sons, Eric Max Brown, John Brown, all of Rockville, IN; Bob Brown, Terre Haute, IN; five daughters, Debbie Brown, Plainfield, IN; Sylvia Andrew, Rockville, IN; Diane Heagy, Roachdale, IN; Jean Penn, Clinton, IN and Kathy Brown, Indianapolis, IN; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Brown, Crawfordsville, IN; and one sister, Mary Ruth Doan, Montezuma, IN. He was preceded in death by one sister Dorcus Sims.

Services wil be conducted Monday, October 3, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. at Barnes Mortuary, Rockville, IN with the Rev. J. Daeschner officiating. Visitation will be October 3, 2005 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Cremation is scheduled.
