Loretta M. Coward Yockey Cooksey, 76, of Knightsville, IN, died at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2005 ,at Cloverleaf Health Care Facility in Knightsville.

Born December 5, 1928, in Lafayette, IN, she was the daughter of Kenneth C. and Dorothy A. Shoup Coward. On February 13, 1993, she married Harry E. Cooksey in Brazil. She attended the Wesley Chapel Church. She enjoyed reading mystery novels but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Barbara Lutz.

Survivors include her husband and six sons, Kenneth Cooksey of Kentucky; Roger Cooksey and wife Doris of Carbon; Carl Yockey and wife Linda of Beechgrove; Joe Yockey and wife Kathy of Clay City; Bill Yockey and close friend Tina of Terre Haute and Jerry Cooksey and wife Toni of Brazil; three daughters Sheila Muncie of Brazil, Jackie Wagoner and husband Mike of Reelsville and Melanie Baker and husband Tom of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Kenneth Cooksey, Kim Cooksey, Scott Cooksey, Rebecca Coltharp, Ronnie Muncie Jr., Stacy Roberts, Chad Morris, Joshua Morris, Amanda Yockey, Shawn Yockey, Ashley Yockey, Ryan Yockey, Jennifer Yockey, Joni Yockey, ChCara Yockey, Kayla Yockey, Keith Lawson; 20 great-grandchildren and many friends and extended family.

At her request cremation is scheduled. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. French Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care.
