Fred Schultz, 94, of Brazil, passed away at 3:35pm October 20, 2005 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
Fred was the former owner of Fred's East End Fruit Market. He was born June 21, 1911 in Brazil, to Fred and Mable Herald Schultz. He graduated from Brazil High School in 1929.
Fred married Clara Eppert Schultz December 24, 1929. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Past Exhalted Ruler of BPO Elks 762, Zorah Shriners of Terre Haute, Scottish Rites of Terre Haute, Masonic Lodge Centennial 541 and Jesters.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Isabelle Cooper, a son-in-law, Jack Boetjer, and two great -grandchildren, Justin and Jarrod Pell.
Survivors include his wife, Clara; three daughters, Yvonne Boor and husband, James, Mitzi Boetjer and friend, Byron Layton, and Deanna Stout and husband, Wayne, all of Brazil; a step-sister, Lucille Loy; grandchildren, Kathy Knust and husband, Mike, of Brazil, Jamie Maurer and husband, Kenny, of Brazil, Jim Boor and wife, Phyllis, of Elkhart, Teresa Herron and husband, Roger, of Mesa Az., Lessa Pell and husband, Alan, of Brazil, Cindy Redmond and husband, John, of Apopka Fla., LeAnn Thomas and husband, David, of Brazil, Curtis Stout and wife, Kelly, of Terre Haute, and Gina Jackson and husband, Doug, of Brazil; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and a large extended family.
Funeral services will be at French Funeral Home Monday, October 24, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tony Alstott and Rev. Richard Pippen officiating. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to an organization of your choice.
