Michael J. Rost Sr., 47, Terre Haute, IN, passed away October 31, 2005 at his residence.

Born April 11, 1958, in Vigo County, he was the son of Gerald William Rost and Edna Reeves.

He was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force retiring after 20 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post 328.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald William Rost and a brother Jerry William Rost.

Survivors include his wife of two years, Claudia M. Rost; his mother, Edna L. Rost; two sons, Michael Rost Jr. and Brandon Rost; two step-sons Stephen Richardson and George Richardson; one daughter, Lindsey Rost; one step-daughter, Viola Carlyle; three sisters, Carol S. Latham and husband Jack, Katheryn M. Moreau and husband Matt and Tammy L. Stewart and husband Corey; four grandchildren; a grandmother, Esther Rost and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2005 at Mattox-Fox Funeral Home in Riley, IN with Pastor Thomas Manbeck officiating. Visitation will be Friday at 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the M.S. Foundation.
